A Delicious Quinoa Pasta Recipe With Avocado Sauce

Quinoa pasta is a healthier alternative to normal wheat pasta. Fresh Italian wheat based pasta is so delicious but can irritate the gut if eaten in excess. This is why quinoa pasta can be used as an alternative. Using avocado as a sauce is a great tummy pleaser. It is creamy, tasty and a perfect compliment to the quinoa pasta. It is not a typical Italian pasta dish but it is delicious. We hope you enjoy it.

Serves Two People


  • 150g dried quinoa pasta
  • 1 x avocado
  • 1/2 x lemon juice 
  • 4 x asparagus stalks
  • 6 x dried tomatoes chopped finely
  • A generous portion of grated parmesan cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Sea salt and black pepper 


  1. Pop the quinoa pasta into salted boiling water and cook to the instructions on the packet
  2. Cut the ends of the asparagus stalks and chop into thirds
  3. Place the asparagus in with the pasta 2.5 mins before it is due to finish cooking
  4. Take the avocado out of its skin, remove the stone and mash in a bowl
  5. Add the sun-dried tomatoes, lemon juice, sea salt and pepper and mix through
  6. Once the pasta and asparagus are cooked, drain and add the avocado sauce
  7. Drizzle with some olive oil and serve into two bowls
  8. Sprinkle some parmesan cheese and black pepper over the two servings
